My dream my entire life was to get a job in the nation’s capital. I went there on a field trip as a youngster, and I fell in love with it then. I loved the history surrounding it as well as the hustle and bustle of the city itself. I went several more times, and each time I knew even stronger that this was where I wanted to be. Nearly two years, I finally got the call I wanted. I had gotten the job I applied for there! I had no idea what kind of apartment I was looking for. I knew the general area I wanted to live in, and I knew that I wanted a swimming pool that I could use. Other than that, I was pretty clueless about what I wanted or even needed. I did not let that deter my searching though. I just did a quick and simple search for available apartments for rent in Brandon FL. I knew that a lot of the complexes had waiting lists, so I was not sure what I would find when I did this search.

It ended up being much easier than I ever would have thought to find the apartment that I wanted. (more…)

When my wife and I travel, I just make the arrangements myself. It is just the two of us usually, and we already know our favorite places to stay when we are traveling. She wanted to do a group holiday with her three sisters and their husbands, and I thought that it would be a great idea for the eight of us to get together. We knew that we wanted to go to St Barts, and she wanted us to get a house rental rather than hotel rentals. I did a search for St Barts luxury rentals, hoping that I would be able to find a place that would fit the eight of us comfortably.

It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, and the price was very reasonable for so many of us. (more…)

I knew that I wanted a two bedroom apartment, but I was not sure exactly where in DC I wanted to start my search. I definitely wanted to live within the capital city limits because that is where my passion is for most things, including my daughter, her husband and their three children as well as the charitable organizations I volunteer at. My daughter is the one who suggested that I do a search for apartments in Dupont Circle Washington DC, and that turned out to be the only search I needed to do.

I was absolutely thrilled to find out that I was given the position I wanted at Florida International University. I did not want to have to travel far every day for work, so I started to look at apartments for Miami Beach. Cost really was not a factor because I am a trust fund baby as well as a professor, but I still wanted to find a good deal in a great area. Finding Treasures on the Bay was the answer to my search for the best apartment close to my new work location.

These apartments are right on the beach, which is fantastic for a beach lover like me. I love being able to walk out of my apartment and be on the beach within two minutes. My husband loves being outdoors as well, but he prefers to spend his time on the golf course rather than on the beach. He is retired, so his only request was that whatever apartment we took, it had to be near a nice golf course. (more…)

I used to joke that businesses in Singapore have a captive audience since the country is an island. The meaning was that you should be able to do a thriving business no matter what you offer since there would not be a lot of competition. However, there actually is a lot of competition to grab as much of the market share of Singapore consumers that you can, and one way advertising is done is through door to door flyer distribution. We don’t see a lot of that in the US, but it is popular in other places.

In Singapore you can pay a company to print and hand out your flyers. They will put them on cars, hand them out in busy places or canvas neighborhoods doing door to door flyer distribution. If you develop a slick flyer that makes a great offer to grab consumer attentions for your business, you can acquire a lot of new customers in a short amount of time with just handing out flyers. The companies that offer this service can hand out thousands of flyers for a low price making it a worthwhile marketing campaign. (more…)

I’m a fit person who takes part in a lot of athletic competitions. I was training for an upcoming athletic competition, I needed to have regular access to a pool. There is a pool that I usually drive to for practice, but it takes a while to get there, and it’s just so inconvenient to swim with all of the other people hanging around in the pool. The best thing for me was to get an apartment where I could get to the pool as quickly as possible, and easily run afterward. I looked at the Asheville apartment rentals that were available.

I moved into a pretty good apartment that had just the pool I needed. Early in the morning I would swim a few laps, dry off and run a couple of miles, rest for lunch, and then hop in the pool in the afternoon. (more…)

In fact there was only one big problem with the job that I had, which is that getting in and out of downtown Charlotte is a real pain in the rear. We are working on the 14th floor of the Bank of America tower and that does not make us unique. When I go to work it is like migration time on the Serengeti plain. At any rate I found new apartments for Charlotte NC that are right there in the area. It cuts down my commute time by a huge amount, not to mention the fact that we are no longer going to need to worry about parking. This building has a huge parking garage, which is blocks away from my office. So I can leave my car there all of the time, unless I want to go some place. (more…)

Finding a decent place used to be hard, according to my mom. She told me how long it would take her and her best friend to find an apartment because they had to go to each one they were interested in. What took them several days to do takes me a few minutes thanks to the Internet. When I told her I was going to look at apartments in Las Vegas in Summerlin, she told me how happy she was that I would be able to find an apartment a lot faster than what she had been able to at my age.

I have just now started to hunt for a new place to stay, because my current roommate has sort of lost his grip on reality. I never knew that he had mental health issues, but a couple of weeks ago he started to behave rather bizarrely. I eventually figured out where to get in touch with his parents and they told me he must have stopped taking his medication. At any rate his name is on the lease and so I can walk away. I spent this morning looking at alamo heights apartments for rent and I am trying to figure out how to afford one of them, since the location is as close to ideal as I could hope for. However I really do need a new roommate and that is something that I am trying to figure out. The math makes the reason for this really easy to figure out.

It is really simple. For example if you pay six hundred dollars a month for a single bedroom apartment, then the same complex is probably going to rent you a two bedroom place for around seven hundred and thirty dollars. Obviously you are on the hook for every penny of the six hundred dollars, unless you can find a girlfriend who wants to share the bedroom and split the rent with you too. If you get a roommate then you only have to pay half of what is owed. In that example you would pay three hundred and sixty five dollars per month. That saves you two hundred and thirty five dollars. It is pretty simple. For me that is a car payment, which is a really big deal. You want to be able to live a bit after you have paid the rent and the big bills.

I have been thinking about making a move for a good while, and now the question is whether I want to try to save up until I can afford a down payment on a house or if I should take an intermediate step and find a Colton apartments for rent. Of course the place where I am staying was pretty great when I was in college and I was dead broke. I had four or five roommates most of the time when I was in college, which made this place ridiculously cheap after everyone kicked in their share. Since my son has gotten older, he’s been trying to be more responsible. Other teenagers ask their kids for money so that they can buy thins with it, but not my son. He works a part time job to pay for whatever he wants, and when he doesn’t have a job, he does services for money. When the prom came around, my son decided to get a prom party bus rental for a group of students. He wanted to have all of his friends ride with him for the occasion, and wanted to do it in a way that would save money in the process.

My son even found a way to get a good tuxedo without having to buy a brand new one or pay for an expensive rental price. He scoured the Internet to find a website where someone was offering an old tuxedo for sale. The tuxedo was in good condition for the most part, but there was some minor wear and tear in a few places. Since my son knew how to sew, he patched up the worn spots to make them as good as new. When we first moved to Texas last year we had to find a place to live fast. I got a job offer and we just up and left. We stayed in a motel that the company paid for when we first got here. It was about a month before we got an apartment. We knew nothing about the surrounding area, and we ended up in a lease for a year that we would have been better off not to have signed. Now that the lease was expiring, we both had been looking at apts for rent in the San Antonio area.

We have had a year now to explore the are and get to know the neighborhoods a lot better. If I had known about the place we originally moved to like I know it now, I would have never rented. (more…)

When I was a little girl, my mom had this friend who lived in an apartment complex that made me so happy every time we went to go visit her. It felt like you were walking into a beautiful, lush park once you walked onto the property. I’ve been searching for a place like that for years, and I finally found one when I was looking for luxury apartments for rent in Mission Viejo last month. I had gotten to the point where I came to accept that I wouldn’t find a place like that again, and then I was realized I was wrong when I showed up at the first place on my list of places to look at.
